Spring and Summer Co-Ed Doubles Leagues
The NBVO is proud to announce the 18th Annual Co-Ed Doubles Beach Volleyball League, which will begin April 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at Sorrento Beach in Santa Monica, California.
There are two separate leagues. The first one meets on Mondays and the second meets on Wednesdays. Both leagues are open to all ability levels, but keep in mind it is doubles volleyball. This means there are only two people on each side of the court. True beginners might want to start with the Clinics. The Spring Monday League runs for ten weeks, from Monday April 22nd to Monday June 24th. The Spring Wednesday League also runs for ten weeks, from Wednesday April 24th, to Wednesday June 26th. Summer Leagues begin Monday July 8th and Wednesday July 10th and run for ten weeks to Monday September 16th and Wednesday September 18th! All leagues meet at 6 p.m. and league play begins at 6:20 p.m. sharp!
The organizers take great care in trying to match up people's ability levels so that a double A rated team won't play a novice team. But more important than skill level, most of the teams come out to enjoy their evenings on the beach. The league is definitely characterized by a great group of people that want to enjoy life. On a typical night, you will play three games against the same team. The following week, you will play a different opponent. Scores for all three games are kept, and the last two weeks of the league is the tournament. The tournament ultimately determines the King and Queen of the beach.
Need a partner, no problem. Although it is preferable to sign-up with a partner you already know, the league does sign-up individuals and tries to match them up with a partner. Please call or e-mail if you would like to sign-up as an individual and we'll do our best to find you a partner!
These leagues are a Southern California institution, which have been responsible for more marriages than any other league we know. The courts have been described by the L.A. NBVO Spring NEW FUN CO-ED FOURS League Session
(10 Weeks) - Begins Tuesday, May 21st through July 23rd.
Teams can have up to six players on their roster. Fun and competitive play for all levels. Cost per team is $295. Since this is a new Tuesday night league, we have attached a flyer with all the key information. We are looking to add corporate teams to the mix. If your company may be interested in supporting a great team building activity, Charlie and/or I will be happy to contact them directly. Please provide us with the key contact and we will take it from there.

Come join us as we celebrate the start of Volleyball season at our League Sign-Up party on April 10th at Marix Tex-Mex in Santa Monica. Players that sign up and pay for the League at the party will receive food and drink specials. Don't hassle with having to bring your money to the beach, confirm your spot in the league while catching up with old beach buddies and meeting new players!
